COMMUNICATION. It is critical in any relationship, and it isn’t exclusive to humans. For six years, I have been helping hundreds of dog owners learn how to communicate and bond with their pets in ways they never thought possible.
My journey began ten years ago when I invited Dom, Lettie, and Hobbs into my home- three lab mix puppies. Over the next few years, my husband and I fostered over 60 dogs–from Neapolitan Mastiffs to a Chihuahua; from young pups to seniors; and “easy” dogs to ones with behavioral issues. By fostering these dogs, I learned a great deal about what works and does not when acclimating a dog into your household.
While fostering, I also volunteered at local animal shelters and rescues. Eventually, I got involved in the training of dogs. Every dog’s unique personality and experience require different approaches and techniques for thorough communication. It is my goal to improve the bond between canines and humans. Many dogs end up in shelters simply because they are misunderstood.
I have four children of my own and understand how challenging it can be to strike a balance between raising a family, and creating structure for your furry family member as well. Whether you just brought home a new puppy and want to set them up for a lifetime of success, or you want to correct an older dog who is set in his ways, I am here to provide support and guide you, as you achieve balanced behaviors through leadership and understanding from all perspectives.
